Membership Issues
Sometimes, things just go wrong. You end up on a RAND list. You could be listed at a different Tax Office somehow. Things could be just fine and you want to attend the Annual General Meeting while you’re on Maternity Leave. That’s ok. Don’t panic. This is where you need to be.
Members on Leave:
When members are struck off strength for Maternity Leave, Long Term Medical Leave or on Administrative Leave for whatever reason, you are consider a member not in good standing. This means that you cannot vote in any Annual General Meetings until you become a member in good standing again. To do this, please follow this link and fill out the form. Once you click submit, the request will go to our national component president who will make the decision to grant you the good standing designation, based on your circumstances.
Members on RAND lists:
If you’ve been contacted and told you’re on a RAND list, don’t panic. This just means that you have missed a step in registering as a member or something happened on the other end and the system did not register you properly. It could just mean that it did not assign your Local number properly. At any rate, all you have to do is to click the link and fill in the card once more. Remember, your component is the Union of Taxation Employees and your local is 00042.
